Property marking

Alert message sent 15/02/2012 10:21:00
Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Neighbourhood Watch
This message is to advise you that Property marking UV Pens can now be purchased from the Front Desk at Hucknall Police Station for the sum of £1.00 each.

The pens can be used for marking various valuable items in your Home so that in the unfortunate event that you have a break in and your prized possessions are taken, the Police can trace any recovered item back to it’s owner. When marking any item it is recommended that you use your House number, followed by your Postcode.

We also have a limited supply of Property marking Kits at a cost of £2 per kit. These kits are designed for use on property that is kept or used outdoors, such as bicycles, lawn mowers and tool boxes etc. and can also be used within the home. The kits contain a UV pen, clear laminate labels which are used over the marking as protection against inclement weather, All Weather Warning Labels for use on your marked property or on windows as a general warning, together with a Record Card of property you have marked, and instructions on use.

If you would like to purchase any of the above items, please call into Hucknall Police Station during opening hours and speak to the Clerk on the Front Desk (telephone number 101 ext. 804 4716).

Any funds raised from the sale of these items will be used to support the administration of the Hucknall Community Neighbourhood Alert messaging system.

REMEMBER – THINK LIKE A BURGLAR!

Stop and think

Where could an intruder get into your home?

Where could an intruder operate unseen?

Where are the weak points – door, windows, internal garage?

Could property easily be removed from your home?

Could property stolen from your home be identified?

Thank you for taking the time to read this message,
Hucknall Community Neighbourhood Alert Team.
