UK National Honours and Awards Now Open For Nomination

Please note that a number of honours and awards at different levels are now open for nominations, ranging from Knight to Dame Grand Cross to the British Empire Medal.

The honours system recognises people of outstanding merit, and those who have committed themselves to service to the nation.

Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network will be focusing on nominations for the BEM award, recognising an achievement or contribution of a very 'hands-on' service to the community in a local geographical area, whereby volunteers have completed above three years’ service.

The Network would specifically like to invite nominations from underrepresented individuals, such as black and ethnic minorities, women, who have made significant contributions to their local community. Hard to reach communities are also encouraged to take part, specifically nominations from the North East and North West.
